Shared Mask Gate Array

Manuflex provides true Form, Fit and Function with our Shared Mask Gate Array (SMGA) Technology to resolve your component replacement issues!

We work to achieve all your business objectives at the lowest possible cost. We do this by using a special array capable of providing:

  • Form, Fit and Function
  • Fast turn and low cost typical of gate arrays
  • Multiple designs fabricated on the same run

Manuflex has quickly become a major player in the industry. With our unique and innovative form fit and function as well as our shared approach to gate array fabrication.

The wafer and reticle map of a Manuflex Shared Mask Gate Array (SMGA) is shown below. Manuflex's innovation is its single base array being able to support any die size and thus any form and fit requirement imposed by a legacy part. A second feature of the innovation is that multiple differently sized projects can be put on the same reticle. This means that a customer can obtain several replacement parts off the same production run.

Manuflex can support your design of legacy parts by providing a cell library containing schematic capture, synthesis, verilog, VHDL views and an annotator for generation of SDF files. You provide Manuflex a cell net list, we will place and route it on the array then provide you an SDF file containing routing related timing information. After postroute simulations, Manuflex will fabricate the part for you.

Manuflex's Shared Mask Gate Array can provide an exact replacement component for your system. True form, fit and function will be achieved in a timely cost effective manner. SMGA is the ideal solution to replaced obsolete components.
