Tanner Labs has developed a modular high-speed video recorder
that can capture data from a variety of high speed cameras.
The core component is a PCI-based acquisition board that is
capable of storing up to 4.8 gigabits per second; higher bandwidth
can be achieved by ganging together multiple boards. To interface
to a camera, the system requires only two cables per board.
We also developed user-friendly software that provides various
modes to trigger recording and to playback data.
This technology was developed under a contract with the U.S.
Air Force as part of the SBIR
program.
