The scientists and engineers of Tanner Labs have developed
sophisticated algorithms as part of a number of research projects.
For example, our speech
recognition group has developed and studied a variety
of pre-processing, training, and recognition algorithms, including
some that instantiate neural networks. Some of our algorithms,
such as the Wave
Process algorithm for target detection, offer a compact
analog IC implementation. Others, such as our Optical
Flow, are computationally efficient in both digital and
analog logic.
