Linear Cell Libraries

In the field of IC design, basic components are used several times on the same integrated circuit. Tanner EDA's linear cell library is a layout library of CMOS cells for the design of op amps or building blocks for designers to customize their own op amps, linear continuous filters, transconductance amplifiers, switched-capacitor filters, current sources and voltage buffers. Cell layouts are easily modified for individual requirements, accelerating the design process.

Among the available cells are a source follower pad, an analog buffer pad, differential amplifier pairs, a gain amplifier, a tiny amp, a bias generator, a bias splitter, current mirrors, an analog buffer, an analog multiplexer, a capacitor, and a switched-capacitor filter. The current mirrors give better than 5% matching for currents greater than 1 nanoamp and 2% for those over 1 microamp. Differential pairs have an offset of less than 5 millivolts at room temperature.

Currently, Tanner EDA has process setup files for several different process vendor technologies. Please refer to our Technology Files and Libraries list to locate the particular set you are interested in. If you are interested in a particular process technology setup that is not currently listed, or have special requirements in terms of design rule checks or extraction capability, please contact us so that we can help meet your specific needs. We would be happy to develop a technology file and rule set tailored to your requirements.
